Why Study Abroad?
Student 1:
"I wanted to see more of the world and experience a new culture and way of living. I sometimes feel like I grew up in a bubble and then when I moved to college I just found a new bubble, so I really wanted to experience life outside of my comfort zone. Studying abroad allowed me reflect on things I had taken for granted and also be more cognizant of the advantages and disadvantages of living in different countries and parts of the world"

Student 2:
"I chose to study abroad based on the curiosity of living in another country for a semester"

Student 3:
"The reason that I wanted to study abroad was mostly to practice and have a full immersion of the Chinese (Mandarin) language while being abroad in Taiwan. I knew that having the opportunity to go abroad to learn the language was a great opportunity to learn the language outside of the books in order to have a better understanding of the flow of the language. In addition to this, I'm someone that likes to see and understand different perspectives, and being able to have the opportunity to travel outside of the US brings many different perspectives into place. As mentioned before I saw study abroad as an opportunity to travel, to learn about the culture and the language, and develop more as a person"
